| The black spire of Riddarholmskyrkan (the Riddarholm Church), piercing the skies from Riddarholmen in Gamla Stan just off the western coast of Stadsholmen. It's one of the oldest buildings in Stockholm, dating from the 13th century: previously a church, it now serves as the royal necropolis to Swedish monarchs.
