| The al-Hamidiyya Souq is the largest in Syria and is the central souq of the capital, located inside the old walled city of Damascus, next to the Citadel. Its western end opens onto al-Thawra Street (seen here), connecting directly to the plaza outside the Great Umayyad mosque. |
