| Looking over the pedestrian suspension bridge (built in 1867) over the pond in the centre of Boston's Public Garden, adjacent to Boston Common (separated by Charles Street, to the park's east), in the centre of Boston. Originally a landfill area, it was bought back by the city of Boston in 1824 and established in 1837 as the country's first botanical park. |
