| St. Patrick's Cathedral, on the corner of Fifth Avenue and East 50th Street in Midtown Manhattan. Construction started in 1858, paused during the American Civil War during the 1860s, and completed in 1878; the twin spires over its western entrance are 100m tall, and it is the largest Gothic Revival Catholic cathedral in North America. |
