| At 140m tall, Fossá ("waterfall river" in Faroese) is the tallest in the Faroe Islands, cascading down the mountain over two rocky outcrops into the sea, about 3km south of Haldarsvík, on the eastern coast of the island of Streymoy. In dry weather, the waterfall is only a few metres wide, but can be up to 30m wide after heavy rain. |
