| Looking over the south-eastern corner of Central Park, a huge urban park spanning multiple blocks in the centre of Manhattan; it opened in 1858, with northern extensions open in 1876. Visible here is Gapstow Bridge over The Pond, built with wood in 1896, then replaced with stone in 1906. Buildings in the Upper West Side look over the park along Central Park's western border. |
