| The Old Post Office, on the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and 12th Street NW, constructed between 1892-9 with a 96m-tall tower. It was used as the city's main General Post Office until the beginning of WWI in 1914, then functioned as a federal office building (and was nearly demolished). In 2013, it was leased out for commercial use, and is now a luxry hotel. |
