| De Tuynhuys (The Garden House) is the Cape Town office of the Presidency of the Republic of South Africa. It dates from 1674 when Dutch settlers first built a "garden house", expanded a century later as a residence for the governor of the Cape Colony. FW de Klerk declared the end of apartheid here in 1992. |
