| At Gypsy Cove along Yorke Bay, a small distance north of Stanley Harbour. The 1982 Falklands War left over 100 minefields containing nearly 20,000 mines of various types: due to the shifting sand-dunes, the mines left around Yorke Bay were enveloped and could not be entirely eradicated. |
