| Further along the eastern bank of the Danube on Lajos Kossuth tér stands the neo-gothic Hungarian Parliament Building. Completed in 1904, Hungarian politicans still assemble here. Hungary's most prized national icon, the Crown of Saint Stephen - Hungary's first monarch - is kept here.
