| Saint Stephen's Basilica, on the eponymous square. It is the city's tallest building (at 96m), completed in 1905 after 54 years' construction. Stephen was Hungary's first king (r. 1000-38AD), who Christianised his new kingdom: his crown (today housed in the Parliament Building) was sent to him by pope Sylvester II. |
