| The Old Executive Office Building, seen from 17th Street NW, is part of the White House compound in the US capital. Opened in 1888, the building currently houses the Executive Office of the President, including the Office of the Vice President of the United States. It was renamed in 1999 to honour Dwight D. Eisenhower, a US Army general during WWII and the 34th US president. |
