| Looking across City Hall Plaza to the Boston City Hall, built in 1968 to assume the functions of the Old City Hall the following year. A prominent example of Brutalist architecture, the building has been subject to widespread public condemnation - called one of the world's ugliest buildings - with demands for its demolition regularly made even before construction was finished. |
