| On North Square stands the Paul Revere House, built around 1680 (making it the oldest house in downtown Boston) and was the colonial home of American Patriot and Founding Father Paul Revere during the time of the American Revolution. It was bought in 1902 by Revere's grandson to prevent its demolition, carefully restored, and re-opened as a museum in 1908. |
