| Walking north up Kolë Idromeno Street (pedestrianised some time after this picture was taken) through central Shkodra. At the southern end of Lake Shkodra just across the border from Montenegro, Illyrian tribes founded the city (as Scodra) in the 4th century BC, making it one of the oldest in the Balkans. |
