| The Parliament of the Republic of Albania was built in 1924, but first served as a club for military officers. It was here that Albania's Prime Minster (from 1922, president from 1925) Ahmed Bey Zogu overthrew the government in September 1928 and was crowned king Zog, later chased out by the Italians in WWII.
