Perched on the top of Colle di San Giusto is a 15th-century castle, built over earlier fortifications set down by the city's medieval Venetian rulers. Named after Saint Justus of Trieste (martyred by the Romans by drowning in the Gulf of Trieste in 303AD), the hill and ramparts offer some great aerial views over the city.
