Continuing eastwards along the unsealed C14 highway through the Namib Desert, near Kreis se Rus, roughly 125km east of Walvis Bay. Seen in the foreground are quiver trees - actually a huge aloe succulent, with a metre-thick trunk - that San bushmen would use for storing arrows, hence its name.
