| Looking across the surface of Sesriem Canyon, about 4km south of the entrance gate to Sossusvlei. It is a natural canyon slowly carved into the local sedimentary rock by the Tsauchab River over millions of years, about 1km long and up to 30m deep. It is one of the few places in the area that holds water all year round. |
