| Walking along Rua Álvaro Castelões, one of the narrow pedestrianised commercial lanes through central Setúbal; the street is still decorated from the city's municipal holiday (15th September, the date in 1860 when king Pedro V officially recognised Setúbal as a city). Founded in Neolithic times, it was Romanised, lost to the Moors, then retaken in the Reconquista in 1217. |
