| The House of the Holy Body, on the corner of Largo do Corpo Santo (left of picture) and Rua Santa Maria (right). It was built in 1714, next to a section of the old medieval city wall (visible is a preserved section, centre), and currently houses the Baroque Museum. It was named after patron saint Pedro Gonçalves, protector of castaways, known as Corpo Santo. |
