| Incorporated into the Government Buildings facing Southern Cross Road is the Parliament of Fiji. It was originally the seat of the Legislative Council of Fiji, but become its parliament after Fijian independence from the United Kingdom in 1970. It remained here until the coups of 1987, moving elsewhere, before it was suspended following the 2006 coup; it was restored here in 2014. |
