| The Fiji Museum, adjacent to Thurson Gardens (its clock tower stands off-picture to the right). The museum was founded in 1904 by a voluntary association (the Friends of Fiji Museum), moving several times before its permanent home was constructed here in 1955. It collects manuscripts, oral histories, objects relating to cannabilism, and also includes the rudder from HMS Bounty. |
