| Looking down the central nave of the Bremer Dom. On the eve of the Protestant Reformation in the early 16th century, the cathedral contained fifty altars. Now, there are four altars and one pulpit (two altars are in the crypts). Damanged by WWII air raids and then bombed, the cathedral vaults were repaired in 1950 and the building was restabilised. |
