| Berlin Palace on Museuminsel, recently rebuilt. One of the city's largest buildings with a 60m dome, it was the royal residence from 1443 until the end of the German Empire after WWI. Badly damaged in WWII, it was demolished by East Germany and the Palast der Republik built in its place in 1976, before that was demolished in 2009 and the palace was rebuilt, re-opening in 2020. |
