Böttcherstraße is a 100-long street in Bremen's old town, linking Marktplatz to the northern bank of the Weser River, and famous for its unusual brick architecture, built between 1922-31 due to Ludwig Roselius, a Bremen coffee merchant, as a tourist attraction. Large sections were destroyed by aerial bombing in WWII; these had been carefully restored by 1954.
