| Nijmegen's Renaissance-style double-gabled town hall, on Burchstraat, to the east of Grote Markt (visible in the distance, centre-right of picture), dating from 1554. Severely damaged by aerial bombing and a subsequent fire during WWII, the front and side facades were spared and partially restored during 1947-53, with a modern-style wing added to its south. |
