| The Square of Our Lady, named after the basilica it adjoins (towers seen left of picture), in the southeast of Maastricht's city centre; it was previously the churchyard of the basilica. The square is located in the oldest part of the city: archaeological excavations through the 20th century recovered Roman-era remains and building foundations here. |
