| The Den Bosch Citadel, on the northern side of the city centre, built at the confluence of the rivers Dommel and Aa between 1636-42, part of the city's old fortifications. It was eventually declared obsolete after the Franco-Prussian War of 1871, and became a military school. It went through a major restoration through the 1980s and is now a historical museum. |
