| Looking west along Fish Market to see the neo-classical Korenbeurs (or Stock Exchange, dating from the 1860s, today hosting an Albert Heijn supermarket), with the landmark tower of the Aa Church directly behind it, named after the nearby river Aa (later converted into a canal), dating from the 1490s. The tower fatally collapsed in 1710, and was replaced a year later. |
