| Looking north-east up along the southern walls of Edinburgh Castle, from the intersection of Castle Terrace (left of picture) and Johnston Terrace (centre). The castle still serves today as the headquarters of the Royal Scots regiment, and houses the Stone of Destiny, upon which all Scottish monarchs were raised. It has become a recognisable symbol of Edinburgh and of Scotland. |
