| Scotland's most controversial building is its Parliament, on the corner of Horse Wynd and Canongate section of the Royal Mile, opposite Holyrood Palace. After Scotland was granted devolution in 1999, it opened in October 2004, 3 years late after scandals, cost, architect and design were all criticised by the Scottish public, media, and politicians. Opinion of the building is still divided. |
