| The Saint Servatius Bridge (looking from the Wilhelminabrug to its north), an arched stone pedestrian bridge across the river Meuse (or Maas in Dutch), with a separate steel drawbridge connecting its eastern end to the river's east bank (centre of picture). It has been called the oldest bridge in the country, dating from the 1280s; it needed to be carefully rebuilt after WWII. |
