| A preserved stretch of the medieval city walls (with the Helpoort around the corner) along the western bank of the river Meuse (Maas in Dutch), at the foot of the Hoge Brug (High Bridge, off-picture to the right). Known as the Maasboulevard through the length of the city, this park between the riverbank and the walls is also referred to as "Under the trees". |
